Paper Trap: The Setup For Failure

Okay, I'm doin this on the mobile, so bear wit me. Here goes.... I am currently on Felony Drug Court. Its a program for people that catch felony cases as far as distribution, traffiking, possession, etc. I was extorted into the program 2 1/2 years ago. First, I was told the incentive (other than stayin out of prison) was that felony would not show up when searching for employment. Bullshit. I can not get a job cuz the big "f" word keeps me from being gainfully employed. Im not talkin about the word "fuck." Im talkin felony, baby. Felony Drug Court, and Adult Probation & Parole is well aware of how difficult it is to get a job for "clients." However, we are constantly being threatened to be locked up if we don't pay our fines, and they make good on those threats. I see recovered junkies (such as myself) getting thrown in jails and prisons cuz they can't pay the fines. I paid my standard 1080 awhile ago. Then two weeks from graduation, they told me that I had 900 more to pay based on the fact that I have a 1st degree felony. I am not the only victim to the paper trap. I have countless stories of people agreeing to terms of probation that only we are required to commit to. The script has been flippdfed for many of us. I am fuckin sick and tired of it. Some of you might say "if ya cant do the time...." . Many of us are forced into our circumstances. I for instance, was kicked out of my parents house when I was 15. Tell me, please, what would you do? There are now resources for kids, but there wasnt before. Now, many of us struggle to stay afloat. No life preservers, no signs of rescue. There are no resources for those in the paper trap, because it is designed to make the government significant amounts of revenue. Your parole officer could give a fuck whether you went back out buck wild, as long as you paid your dues. They don't care about you. If you think they do, you're a gullible child in my opinion. Pay up, or put your hands up, that's all they are paid to care about.
